Material Grade Gap Calculator

See the dollar difference between what insurance priced (stock) and what you actually have (semi-custom or premium).
Grade Gap Calculator
See the cost difference between material grades for your room.

What this tool does

Select a material type (cabinets, flooring, or countertops), enter your room size, and see side-by-side pricing for stock, mid-grade, and premium options. The calculator shows the total cost at each grade and the dollar gap between what a stock-priced estimate pays versus what your actual materials cost.

Who needs this

Any homeowner whose insurance estimate prices materials below the grade they actually have. If your cabinets have dovetail drawers and soft-close hinges but the estimate prices stock cabinets, this tool quantifies exactly how much money is missing. Same for flooring (laminate vs. solid hardwood) and countertops (Level 1 vs. Level 3+ granite).

How to use it

Pick the material type that applies to your claim. Enter the size of the affected area (linear feet for cabinets, square feet for flooring and countertops). Compare the three grade levels to what you actually have in your home. The gap between stock and your grade is money that should be in your estimate.
